Deva 24 vs. Cannock 15

Cannock is a new undiscovered side in the u-15 level with Deva never playing them before. Jon Kelly was refereeing the game.

Deva started the match with the throw-off. After about 3 minutes Deva found a weakness in their defence and scored through a Jans goal. Deva started to stretch there lead but then Cannock pulled back with a couple of goals. Deva kept on with the scoring with there captain Jans, Turner and Parker.

Cannock kept pulling back Deva's lead slowly but they were making a come back. By the half time whistle Deva was leading 14-8 and the coach Gary Kelsall made some vital substitutions.

Cannock started the game again but you could tell the confidence was dented. Cannock took the game to Deva and challenged them with scoring a few goals whilst Deva had 5 players due to a sin bin. But then Deva shown there true spirit and led a onslaught with Jans, Neilson and Szcydgwska.

Deva then had 2 more players sin bin in 6 minutes but Deva Cruised to a 24-15 victory against the new opposition. Cannock's top scorer were Furlong and R Bebnarsky with 4 goals a piece and Deva's top scorer was Jans with a 13 goal onslaught. The new team on the block was very good but the Deva experience shone through in the end. Report
